Christmas Challenge:

Before the meeting at the end of January is to read three books, one to fit each of the above categories.

At our festive meal, we enjoyed lovely food, fantastic food and interesting discussions!

Catch 22 was not a popular read, and remained largely unfinished. Complaints included it being largely repetitive, with an irritating narrator/protagonist and a rambling and dull plot. A few people did say they were prepared to persevere, but overall members found it not to our tastes.

Secret Santa seemed to be a success, with token gifts exchanged and a festive atmosphere!
