We'll be meeting at the Queen's Head in Frodsham at 7:30pm on Sunday 12th January 2020 to discuss our Christmas Reading Challenge.

At our last meeting on Sunday 17th of November, we were joined by author Mark Hodkinson. We'd been reading his book That Summer Feeling.

We were also able to listen to his Radio 4 Documentary So Many Books So Little Time, in advance of it being aired on 28th November (it's available to listen to on BBC Sounds at the moment, and it scheduled to be broadcast again on 28th December).

His talk encompassed more than just the book, he discussed books in general and the publishing industry as a whole and writing. It was a varied, and very interesting discussion.

He very kindly signed our books, and had brought some freebies along from Pomona Books which we're very much enjoying reading!

Halton Lea Library has some blind date books in their quick picks section for Christmas... if you've not been in, call in and pick one up!

Remember, libraries are funded depending on how much we use them, so get along and borrow a book!
